As you know I bombed my attempt at the 365 Challenge so Now I am back to the drawing board and having fun with Digi Kits..

Hey so I am having a blast with making digi scrap kits while my cutter is down. This kit was inspired by a challeng over at Digi Scraps Drive In. Be sure to run over and check them out. Here is a pic of the color palette that was used in this challenge

Wow I should have known with all I have going on that I wouldn't be able to keep up with yet another thing. So I only got about 19 days in and then it got even crazier... Any how I have decided I will post pics when I have them and then I will post other crafty things and life when I don't. So here is a page I did for a spped scrap over at gotta pixel. It is me and my hubby and My Uncle and Aunt.

This layout uses LorieM Designs and her papers and elements from Heart and Home and some elements are from My Home My family. You can check out her items here. These items are great to work with.

Day's 13 AND 14

So the weather is finally getting back to normal here. No freezing all day long.. thank goodness...

The prompt over at Gotta Pixel is "Thats Not Good" and that is how I feel when I see my:

Day 14 - Just me and my Hubby!

This is my hubby and I. He is such a wonderful man and I am so very lucky to have him in my life. You know it is just beautiful day when you finally find that perfect someone for you. At that moment you know that your life is complete. We have three wonderful boys and life couldn't be better.

Ok so this is Day 10.... This is the Ambient temperature in my CAR on the way to work.. I live in Florida it shouldn't be this cold.. where did my 70 degree weather go? Oh my....

Day 9

Well it has been a rough couple of days. My back started doing its spasm's again so I have been miserable..The feeling of it is driving me nuts. It hurts.. Imagine stubbing your toe about 5 times in a row and that is how bad my back is killing me when it spasms.... Anyhow... For todays picture I thought I would show off a set of pictures I have managed to be able to keep since I was really little. My Aunt made them and gave them to me. I can't believe I still have them.. I think that is so awesome because much of my childhood memories got messed up through out the years. I have a few other items I plan to share over the coming months so please check back to see what they are..

Days 6,7 8 of 365 Challenge

I have been faithful in taking my pictures but not as faithful trying to make the time to upload them so here are Days 6, 7 and 8.

Day 6. The prompt at Gotta Pixel was "This is where I live"

So I also had to pick a picture of my computer since I do have it attached to me at all times. In this picture you will also see my blackberry... Between the two of them I stay pretty busy... Just ask my hubby if you don't believe me.

Day 7, Prompt "Yummy, Yummy for my Tummy"

So I chose to show you the latest in thin buns I have tried. I really enjoy them.

Day 8:

I didn't follow the prompt today becuase I found this great picture in the back of where I work. A sandhill crane family was just hanging around. They have decided to take up residence at my place of work. They are so beautiful.

So thats it for now. No interesting stories to tell you just hope you are all having fun on this journey with me.

Day 5 of 365 Days of my life

Today on the way home from work I took a few pictures from the car.. This is one I captured of the Withlacoochee River. You can somewhat see my reflection from the window of my car.. By the looks of it you would think we could be on the river enjoying the scenery.. but it is so cold here right now.... Not as cold as those further North but cold just the same..

So today I am posting a layout I did with one of the photos from yesterday.. And a photo of myself for the Day 4 prompt over at Gotta Pixel. If you are contemplating doing this I would advise you to start TODAY!! It is so much fun and it really helps you to think outside the box and see things you didn't realize were there.

Day 3 - Project 365

So day 3 of project 365.. It all started with getting up at 3AM to take our oldest to the Airport to fly back out to college. Anyhow it has been a really long day. So I went on my walk and took a lot of pictures. We have a ton of squirrels in our neighborhood and they are always running across my roof and playing around.. For such little things they sure do make a ton of noise. Anyhow they just happen to be todays inspiration. I plan to do a layout but it won't be until later this week. Maybe tomorrow I am not sure..

Day 2

I decided I would put my goal to exercise to use. I decided to take the camera this morning and go for a walk. My hubby just got a new telephoto lens for Christmas so I decided to go out and see what I could do with it. I took lots of pictures on my walk. Note to self " Take Mono Pod" cause this new lens is HEAVY.. LOL anyhow a family down the road has a horse, goats and chickens. The chickens were in the coup but the goats and horse were out. So I got a great picture of the horse and even some of the crows that were hanging around. Crazy but the crows love to hang out around our neck of the woods. So after taking these photos I continued my journey.

On the next street I found a house where the Birds love to hang.. I am no bird expert but I saw blue jays ( I got pics of them but forgot to turn the VR on so it was blurry cause I shook.. Anyhow got some pictures of some other birds that I am not sure of what they are. As I continued walking I found a few old fallen trees. Yep took pics of them too. Not sure of what my days post would be about. So I rounded the block and took some pictures of some birds in the sky then I saw todays picture. I think it is a great symbol of the life we have. Wave your banner high Let Freedom ring.. Enjoy the fact that you have your freedom and remember Freedom doesn't come free!

Resurection of my Personal Blog.

I have been really busy with trying to get my die cut design business of the ground and this blog site has been neglected. This blog will now showcase my digi layouts and my goal to take 1 picure a day for the next 365 days.. Wish me luck.. I am going to try to post daily. OK so day 1 of my 365 days of pictures. I thought I would capture my dear hubby's knee before he gets it replaced later this month. He had his Left knee replaced last year in June. So here we go again and before we know it he will be up and running with no more pain. I can't wait for that day because I hate to see him in pain.

I have managed to hurt my back "pulled muscle" I suspect. This summer at work we have been Moving so many computers around that my back just can't handle any more so the doc has me on light duty no lifting over 15 pounds. THat is hard to do in my line of work but I am managing to follow orders. My son is coming to help me tomorrow and Friday I am so glad becuase I will be able to get much more done with him there to help me move the stuff I can't. He is such a sweetie. Any how I hope this note finds you and yours in good health.

Boy has life been crazy with working 10hr days and taking care of hubby. Speaking of hubby he is now back at work and back to normal not 100% yet but is much better than before surgery. His leg is often swollen after a day of work but he is still coming along great.

I have been MIA for a while. Hubby is doing much better now. Doc says his recovery is right on track so that is good. Haven't had much time to do much in my studio so that is why I have no posts. With my new Digital Die Cut biz and working 10 hr days and taking care of hubby I am wiped by the end of the day. Update on Hubby

For those of you who know my hubby had a total knee replacement. He is doing wonderfully. His Range of Motion is getting better by the day. It has been just over a week since the surgery and he is at about 86 percent. Last Friday he was at 70% so he has already made a great gain. I am so proud of him for his determination and strength while getting through this.

Our Son was inducted into the National Honor Society

Here is a layout I made of the ceremony of our son being inducted into the National Honor Society. This was a very proud moment for us as parents. He works SO hard to get good grades and we are very proud of him. Since I do not have permission to post the pictures of the other family members I have blacked them out. If you guys see this and you don't mind your photo online then I will gladly upload the original. I just don't like putting other peoples pics online without permission. I would just like to thank my husband "who is his step Dad" and my sons Dad and Step Mom and his Gradnparents for helping make this a special memory for our son.

Our Middle son graduated

It's hard to believe we have 2 of our 3 boys out of school. Graduation what a great yet sad day because one part of thier life has passed and a new chapter begins. I created a cutter file for a challenge on the "forum over at Visual Designs by Chris. We were given a sketch and some files and we could use the sketch provided by Becky Fleck at pagemaps and/or the cutter files provided from this month or previous months or even if we were inspired to create our own. Challenges are a great way to spark your creativity. So here is my submission.. It is a file I created for the challenge and used the sketch.

Look what came today and he gave it to me EARLY!!! Happy Mothers Day to me!! A big KISS to my hubby..

In short for those of you who haven't seen this yet it is a memory card that you put in your camera and when you take a picture it sends the photo wirelessly through your wireless access point/router to your computer using the software that comes preloaded on the card. The only thing you need the usb card reader for is to install the software from the sd card. HOW COOL IS THAT! No More cords and no having to stop to upload pics when you are in the middle of taking a bunch of pictures.. You can read more about it here. See told you I have an awesome hubby..

This one was a challenge. I thought with School nurse Day coming up and it being so hard to find cutter files that are nurse related that I would make this one. I hope you enjoy looking.

As you can see the original was about 10" tall and I was able to reduce her to 4" without any problem. This will be a versitile file. I have more items that will go with it when I am finished. Any comments from you cutter enthusiasts would be greatly appreciated.

I originally moved in this room when my oldest son was going off to college. It has come a long way.. I don't have very good before pictures but when my boss said he was doing a kitchen remodel I asked what he was going to do with his old cabinets.. Well he let me have them.. WooHoo!!! Thanks J&K you know who you are.. Anyhow.. The room was already painted blue from when I originally moved in and his counter tops were blue how lucky was that! Anyhow on to the show..

I tell you what I am one lucky woman. I have had 3 pretty much solid days to just create/cleanup the studio and create and clean up lol... My dear husband is very supportive of my hobby. He laughs when I bring him something for his opinion.. He has gotten to where he never knows wether or not I have added a sentiment inside or not so he patiently waits for me to say.... OPEN IT!!! Todays challenge over at 365 Days blog is an accordian card.

This one uses Carries Creations CS00362 teddy bear paper piecing and words that I designed myself. The paper used is from The Angel Company Catelynne collection as well as DCWV Pocket full of posies stack. The teddy bear itself is mulberry paper from Sticky Back. Hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Ok I know it I am a little backwards.. For those who really know me that doesn't surprise you. Any how.. Here is Day 47 of my 365 Days of cards.

I used Carries Creations File number CS00252 Blooming Flowers for the popped up item. Carries files cut really great and I just love the versatility of them. Make sure you go check her out if you have a digital cutter.

This file also uses a retired The Angel Company Stamp (TAC) called Dot Words.

Background paper is from The Angel Company's Pop Rocks pack. I used white cardstock and inked the cut pieces with Palette inks also from The Angel Company.

Spring is in the Air

Here is a sign I made for Spring/Easter. The bunny is from Carries Creations accordian egg file. I cut them using my Klik N Kut. The bunny was enlarged for this purpose. I designed the words myself and the background paper is from The Angel Company's Gentle Beginnings paper collection pack. The stamps used on the words are from the Simply Divine set. I used palette inks to color the bunny. The detail is hard to see but I used the running stitches stamp set from The Angel Company. The words spring and easter are attached with velcro so you can interchange them. I hope you enjoy my latest project be sure to check back in for more new things coming soon.

Here is a layout I did for a challenge over at paperthreads forum and we were given a file to use and a page layout and we were to see what we came up with. The file that we had to use was this one

I also used a file I had on my computer from Mary Powell. I have since misplaced her site so Mary if you are out there let me know and I will link the file and or your blog to this post.

I also did this 2 page layout for the same challenge only I used another designers file from paperthreads which we could do if we wanted to. This one uses the Layered Flowers file from Carries Creations I designed the words but the flowers and stems were from Carries Creations.

You will notice stamps sets were used in both of these creations. All stamp sets are from The Angel Company Come on over and check it out.

Here is another take on the chick center piece Idea that I posted previously.

Here is a card I made using the same cut file as above.

This was based on a sketch challenge over at the Paperthreads forum.

Here is duck I made out of a small square tin I got from Walgreens after christmas for like 10 cents. I used a Klik N Kut file from Carries Creations and enlarged it to work for this idea.

I fell off the face of the earth.. Well your not so lucky.. LOL Just been in a funk. Here are a few things I made for the Design team I am on for Carries Creations. Files for your electronic cutter. You can check out carries files here. So here they are. I have used her files and added them to a frame or welded a couple of them together to make something else. Great files Carrie.

Man what an awesome concert. The place was packed. We had an awesome time. It was HOT there tho.. As you can imagine with a packed Ampitheater and no winds.. But we had the best time. It was my son Tom's first concert. I think he really enjoyed himself. We were all exhausted and the drive home was rough.. Thanks for stopping by I hope to have some pictures later.

Whats up.. ? I have been steadily working on my swap commitments and reading my friends blogs in between. Also trying to stay sane while getting my son ready to head off to college on the 13th... EEK in OHIO no less. I have had constant heartburn since finding out he is driving up alone.. He is 19 so I know he can do it but regardless is still my kiddo and I will always love him like the day he was born..

Anyhow, One of my swap commitments was for Halloween cards.... Guess what! I don't have any that are not retired from TAC.. OOPS... So I had to order a couple.. Can't back out on a commitment right?? Guess I will have to make extras to send out to people so that I didn't order just to make a few...

Hope your weekend is going great! I plan to post some new pics soon.. Promise...

Hey yall sorry for the loss of words lately. I have been working on getting a bunch of swaps I committed to done, while still working 10 hr days... I am doing the following..
Card Swaps

I can't post pics of the swaps until they are mailed to the hostess and then to the participants but I will post a few other things I have worked on lately.. at the end of this post.

So thats why I haven't been around much. OH yeah I also got a new computer last weekend because my other one is 5.5 years old. Well I got the new one with Vista 4-bit OS and my Klik N Kut will not work with it because the drivers aren't developed yet sooooooooooooo I have to have my old computer and the new one both in my studio.. Crazy....

OH by the way this is my first successful scenery card. Not perfect by any means but I am glad It at least has some look of distance in it.. I really struggle with this technique...

Just Stuff!

Well my youngest son Tom just turned 15 today. We went and got his learners permit. We spent the day together. He drove around after getting his permit and then he drove us to lunch and then he wanted to get some movies and a game from the movie rental place. So we got them and then came back to the house and watched two of the movies together. It was a great day! When my hubby got home we had Tom drive us out to dinner to celebrate his birthday.

So thats about it for today. Hope you all have had a great day too!

Here is another card I made for Christmas. I stayed with the pink and brown scheme. The puppy is from the Christmas Fun (T-1253) and Holiday Liners (T-866) from The Angel Company. The fur on the stocking has fun flock on it. I colored it using prisma color pencils and gamsol. The gems were put on by using my Professional touch Hot fix applicator from Kandi Corp, and a little ribbon. Hope you enjoy..

Christmas in July

Well here is the first of my Christmas in July posts. I want to get ahead of the game on making my Christmas Cards. So here goes..

I used bazzil cardstock in 2 shades of pink and on Brown. Then using the snowflakes cuttlebug folder and white cardstock I embossed the background. Then used Palette Toile Pink (TT-191) ink and rubbed over the embossed image. I used T-2796 Ornamental Snowflakes and T-2772 Snowy Swirls rubber stamps from The Angel Company. I then applied fine glitter to the top of the word snow.

Gift for my niece

My niece is getting married next month and her bridal shower is today so I thought I would show you what I made for her! Shhhh don't tell her it's a secret.

Here is the plaque for her to hang outside her home! I cut the letters using my Klik N Kut and I inked the edges. The paper used was from my stash not sure who made it.

Next you will see the card that I made her in which I plan to include some moolah.. Since they have been living together for awhile and have already established thier home. They can use the money for thier honeymoon or what ever else they choose to do..

I used a dark brown Bazzil for the base and I used two sheets of paper from The Angel Company's Winchester Collection. I used a saying stamp from the Spring and Summer 08 Catalog that was a gift with purchase it is now retired. I used stamps from miscellaneous TAC sets like flourishes, bookoo blessings and a few others that have since retired as well as a Stampin up set called In my thoughts. Hope you enjoy looking.

10 years ago: I was working with my ex-husband in our part store. My youngest son was turning 5 and getting ready for kindergarten. My oldest was 9.

5 things on my to do list today: Finish painting my new studio. Go to the gym and then get ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Snacks I love: Ice cream, chocolate and chocolate cake.. All of which I am trying to say away from as I am trying to lose weight.

Things I will do when I am a millionaire: Live like I live today only out of debt. And make sure my parents are living comfortable.

Places I have lived: Vermont until the age of 5. Broadalbin NY until the age of 9. Bushnell Florida until the age of 33 and currently in Inverness Florida.

Now I have to tag 4-5 people.. I will have to get back to you on this one.. LOL I have a hard time forwarding these things.. I know it is fun... but I still have a hard time.

Vermont Visit

Hey the Vermont trip is going good. I haven't been there in about 15 years and things have changed and I don't remember a whole lot. I was born here but moved away when I was five only to visit a couple of times when I was young. So this time I got to see a whole lot more but the thing that surprised me the most was going to the street I use to live on and our house and my a couple of others have been torn down. The one remaining one is still there and it was a cousins house. However, when I was little I thought her house was a whole lot farther than it looks now. Wow it is amazing how when you are little things look so much bigger. I am having a blast. I am remembering bits and pieces of my childhood that I had forgotten.. So I suppose that is good. I just hope that I keep getting memories.. But who knows.. Anyway I don't want to bore all of you with all of this but just wanted to post so you would know that I am still around.

Well as you all know I have been dedicating my life to a permant change to eat right and add exercise to ensure I get healthy so I haven't been doing much in my studio. Here are a few things I have worked on in my spare time.. LOL the first one is a butterfly picture frame. It is not a good photo but you can see it. The butterfly appears in 3d in the frame. 1) My husband Spoiles me.
2) My Oldest son will hopefully graduate high school in two weeks (if he passes English IV)
3) I love my Chevy Avalanche (even tho gas is about to kill me)
4) Even though I work with computers all day at work I still enjoy being on it at night.
5) Addicted to Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives.
6) The only graphic shows I like to watch are CSI and Dexter. (I hate seeing blood and people being cut open but these shows are addictive..)
7) I wanted to be a respiratory therapist but went into computer technology instead. Because the schools were closer and I was a single mother at the time.
8) Until 4 years ago I never vacationed outside of Florida.
9) I am working really hard to get healthy.
10) Phew... this was really hard I must be a boring person.. LOL

Man that Stinks! And something new

I had taken a few pictures from when my youngest son Tom went to work with me for Take a Kid to work day. Well.. I was about to take them off the camera when I accidentally pulled the usb cable from the camera before I got the pictures off. Well this lovely HP camera ate the pictures. They are nowhere to be found.. I am just sick about it. Especially since they were great pictures. UUUUUGH... That just stinks. I could shoot myself for not going and taking them off of the camera the instant I took them.. After all my laptop does have a SD card reader.. *%#*#%* Lesson learned.

Well we had loads of fun. We only ended up installing 15 computers and did a few other things before we had to go back to the office for a meeting and after that Tom helped his Granny and cousin do some heavy lifting then he helped another kid untangle a mass of old computer cables and stuff that were just thrown into a box in a hurry. Now thanks to them they are neat and tidy.. Go Kids.. They certainly have more patience that I do when it comes to that.. Who am I kidding patience and I don't even work in the same sentance. My patience went away several years ago but thankfully it is trying to come back. It may arrive before I am old enough to retire. That isn't what the people I work with will tell ya tho..

Well on to the something new. This was inspired by DAWN After fiddling trying to get the right size circle (the coluzzle I have here isn't the right size) I decided I was going to try to make a square style purse. So here is my version. Hope you enjoy..

Here is a double slider card that I saw here. It was fun to make.. I think I will make a few more of this style. I have a few more creations to share but like a ditz I forgot to photograph them so I will have to do it tomorrow.
So tomorrow is Take a kid to work day so my youngest son (14) decided he wants to go to work with me!!!! YIPPEE!! I am so excited. He is a great help to me. I gave him several things we could do and he picked the one that is the most exhausting for me to do so he will be a great help and I won't get so exhausted doing it this time. We have to install 27 computers tomorrow. Hopefully we will get them all done. We also have to take out the old ones they are replacing. So it will be a fun but exhausting day. I will try to get someone to take a few pics so I can share them with you..
I am off to bed 5:30 comes early..

Altered Spiral Notepads

Well I ran by my local Walgreens and happened upon these great spiral notepads with snap closures and they were a pack of 2 for one dollar! Yippee.. So here are some of the ones I came up with.

I hope soon to be able to get back to making tutorials. Hopefully life will slow down and take a break soon. This roller coaster is getting out of hand.

Finally something new!

Hey I know you probably feel that I have abandoned the art completely. Wow can someone either put more hours in the day or slow down the hours after I get off of work. Geesh.. Where does the time go..

I made a couple yesterday for my cousin one was a birthday card and one was a sympathy card.. Well I forgot to take pics before I took them to her.. UGH..

I also helped a friend make journals as a gift to her daughter and her friends at her daughters birthday party. Yep you guessed it didn't take pics of them either. What a slacker..

Here are a couple of cards I made today.

This card came about because I accidentally cut the cardstock wrong and thought now what am I going to do. The cardstock was suppose to be cut to make this card but I oopsied and cut the oval part out of the wrong place. Anyhow this is what I came up with for my miscut paper. The patterned paper is discontinued but I liked the colors.. So I used it for this card to share with you.

I used the following stamp TAC sets to make the above card:
T-2892 Bookoo Blessings
T-2802 Spring Flowers

This card was made using the cracked glass technique and the following stamp sets:
T-2122 Charcoal leaves
T2897 My Sunshine

Although you cant see them there are also leaves stamped on the tan cardstock also with a tad bit darker ink than the cardstock
